Claude Code

You need an API key for the namespace (namespace → API keys → Create key). The page shows this command with your key filled in.

  • jitprompt-support-bot is the name Claude Code shows for the server; use one per namespace.
  • Add --scope user to make it available in every project, or --scope project to share it with your team through .mcp.json (then keep the key in an environment variable: --header 'Authorization: Bearer ${JITPROMPT_KEY}').

Check it with claude mcp list: the server should show as connected with three tools — get_toc, get_section, search_instructions.

Make Claude use it

Claude reads the tool descriptions and calls them on its own, but a line in your CLAUDE.md makes it consistent:

Before writing code that touches billing, data models or customer-facing text,
call search_instructions with what you are about to do and follow the result.
